Mercedes-Benz has introduced the new CLA, marking the beginning of a significant product and technology initiative to boost sales following a period of profit decline. Unveiled in Rome, the CLA is the first in a new family of vehicles, showcasing Mercedes-Benz's commitment to innovation. The CLA features a newly developed electric powertrain designed for efficiency, incorporating an 800-volt architecture for faster charging. It also includes the new MB.OS operating system, enabling over-the-air updates and advanced AI capabilities. The initial all-electric CLA boasts a range of up to 792 kilometers (WLTP). A hybrid version is also planned, expected to be available sometime in early 2026. The electric CLA models, CLA 250+ and CLA 350 4MATIC, are set to arrive later this year.
