Mercedes-Benz Unveils Electric CLA: Up to 492 Miles Range, Advanced AI

Mercedes-Benz has introduced the new CLA, available in electric and mild-hybrid versions. The electric CLA boasts a range of up to 492 miles (WLTP) in the 250+ model, powered by an 85.5 kWh battery. Two electric variants are available: the 250+ with 200 kW (268 hp) and the 350 4MATIC with dual motors producing 260 kW (349 hp). The 800-volt architecture enables rapid charging, adding up to 186 miles of range in 10 minutes with 320 kWh charging support. Energy consumption ranges from 12.2 to 14 kWh/100 km (WLTP). The CLA is built on the MMA platform and features the MB.OS operating system with generative AI for a personalized user experience. Mild-hybrid versions include a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine with a 20 kW electric motor. The interior features three screens integrating the MBUX system. Advanced driver-assistance systems (MB.Drive) use 27 cameras, offering Level 2 autonomous driving.
