Restoration of the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption in Castel de Cabra Approved

The Regional Parliament of Aragon has approved the restoration of the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption in Castel de Cabra. The proposal was supported by all groups except the PP, which abstained. The church, declared a Bien Catalogado (BC) of Aragonese cultural heritage, is a Gothic-Renaissance building constructed between the 13th and 17th centuries. The church is in an advanced state of deterioration, both inside and out, with serious damage to the roof. A technical study will be conducted to undertake small actions. The government of Aragon, with the support of the City Council of Castel de Cabra and in collaboration with the Archbishopric, should work together on the restoration.
