Record Transformer Repair Restores 200 MW Power in Just 26 Days in Iran

In a remarkable feat, Iran's Power Plant Repair Company successfully repaired a 200 MVA transformer at the Shahid Soleimani power plant in Kerman within 26 days, a process that typically takes 120 days.

The rapid response team undertook a comprehensive operation involving:

  • Disassembly and relocation of the damaged transformer.

  • Reconstruction of the high-voltage coil.

  • Replacement and reassembly of the transformer.

  • Specialized testing for low and high voltage.

This swift action restored 200 MW of electricity to the national grid, alleviating production constraints from associated gas and steam units.
