Indonesia has launched a nationwide free health check-up program, aiming to provide accessible healthcare to all citizens. The program, which began on February 10, 2025, offers free check-ups at over 10,000 public health centers (puskesmas) across the country.
The program is open to all citizens, from newborns to the elderly. It includes a variety of health screenings, such as blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol levels. Individuals requiring further treatment will be referred to hospitals.
The program is expected to reach 280 million people, exceeding the scale of the COVID-19 vaccination program. The government has allocated Rp4.7 trillion (approximately $310 million) for the initiative.
The program aims to encourage early detection of diseases and improve health outcomes for the Indonesian population.
