Edited by: Sergey Belyy1

Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has stated his intention to personally request Russian President Vladimir Putin to engage in peace negotiations with Ukraine in Istanbul. This announcement follows a call from Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha for Brazil's support in organizing a direct meeting between Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Sybiha emphasized Brazil's influential position in discussions with Russia. Lula expressed his intention to speak with Putin during his visit to Moscow, following a trip to China. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov acknowledged the peace proposals but stated that there were no confirmed arrangements for a meeting between Putin and Lula. However, Peskov assured that the public would be promptly informed if any agreements were made.
