Mediators Reach Deal for Prisoner and Hostage Body Release; Hamas Ally to Release Hostage Body

An informed Egyptian source reported on Wednesday that mediators have reached an agreement for the release of Palestinian prisoners, initially scheduled for last Saturday. The agreement also includes the handover of Israeli hostages' bodies, to be conducted under Egyptian supervision. The source did not specify the exact release date. Al-Nasser Salah al-Deen Brigades, a Gaza-based militant group allied with Hamas, announced on Wednesday via its Telegram channel that they will release the body of Israeli hostage Ohad Yahalomi on Thursday. Yahalomi's body is among the four bodies slated for release by Hamas during the initial phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement.
