Heatwaves and Wildfires: Weather News Update

The upcoming days will see a return to high temperatures after a brief respite. In Spain, temperatures are expected to rise, with highs above 35C and close to 40 degrees in some provinces by the weekend. Extreme heat will prevail in regions like Extremadura, Castilla-La Mancha, Madrid, Catalonia, Murcia, and Andalucía.

Wildfire smoke is expected to return, potentially causing poor air quality conditions. An Air Quality Advisory has been issued for Wisconsin. Sensitive groups are advised to take precautions.

In Connecticut, the state is no longer classified under any category of drought.
