Portugal Expects Unstable Weather with Thunderstorms and Temperature Fluctuations

Edited by: Ed_dev Ed

Portugal is bracing for unstable weather conditions, particularly in the North and Central regions, with the possibility of occasional thunderstorms. This is due to the interaction between a colder air mass and an isolated depression to the west. While the day is expected to be mild, with temperatures around 20°C, cloud cover may increase in the afternoon, leading to scattered showers, thunderstorms, and potentially hail in mountainous areas. Morning will be predominantly clear with fog in some regions. Winds will be light to moderate, increasing in the afternoon. Minimum temperatures will be low in the interior North, with possible frost in sheltered valleys. The sea will be relatively calm, with water temperatures between 14°C and 16°C. Looking ahead, temperatures are expected to rise over the weekend, potentially reaching 24°C to 25°C. However, changes in Atlantic and Southern European depressions could bring more widespread precipitation to mainland Portugal in the near future.
