DANA Brings Storms and Showers to Spain This Weekend

Edited by: Eugeniy Konovalov

A DANA (Isolated High-Altitude Depression) is set to impact Spain this weekend, bringing storms and showers across the country. The most significant effects will be felt in the northern half of the Iberian Peninsula, but Andalusia will also experience showers, storms, and potentially hail. On Friday, cloudy skies are expected in western Andalusia, with increasing cloud cover throughout the day across the region. Light showers are possible in almost any part of Andalusia but are expected to be scattered and short-lived. Saturday will see continued effects from the DANA, with morning rains in parts of Córdoba and Granada, extending to Jaén and Almería in the afternoon, potentially accompanied by thunderstorms. By Sunday, the weather is expected to stabilize, with fewer clouds and only occasional showers in mountainous areas. Temperatures will remain relatively stable, with highs slightly above 20 degrees Celsius and lows slightly above 10 degrees Celsius. After the DANA dissipates, stable weather is expected to return on Monday, with sunshine and rising temperatures approaching 30 degrees Celsius. However, this anticyclonic weather pattern is not expected to last, as a new period of intense rainfall could begin on Tuesday and last for several consecutive days.
