Tesla Opens 60,000th Supercharger Station in Japan

Tesla Inc. has inaugurated its 60,000th supercharger station globally in Mori, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. This new station increases the total number of superchargers in Japan to 600.

The 600th supercharger features a commemorative plaque and images of white origami cranes on a red background.

CEO Elon Musk previously highlighted Tesla's low market share in Japan, emphasizing the need for greater brand awareness and strategic placement of superchargers.

In the third quarter, Tesla added 2,800 superchargers worldwide, reflecting a 23% increase from the previous year. Musk announced a $500 million investment this year to further expand the supercharger network.
