The color Kindle features a high-resolution display with adjustable lighting, while the Kindle Scribe incorporates a stylus for note-taking and highlighting. The Kindle Paperwhite offers an affordable option for readers.
New features include direct access to library books and the use of book covers as screensavers. A digital playground for kids was also launched, providing a safe space for exploration.
The devices are available for pre-order and will start shipping in November.
Amazon's original book sales continue to be a significant revenue source, highlighting the enduring appeal of physical books.
