Elon Musk has emerged as a leading donor for Donald Trump's 2024 presidential campaign, contributing a total of $75 million since July. This financial backing includes $15 million in July, followed by $30 million in both August and September, all funneled through his political action committee, America PAC.
Musk's active involvement in the campaign is marked by his public support for Trump, including a recent appearance at a campaign rally where he expressed willingness to serve in a government role if Trump wins. He plans to campaign in Pennsylvania in the coming days.
Despite Musk's significant contributions, fundraising for Trump lags behind that of Democratic nominee Kamala Harris, who has raised over $633 million during the same period. Other notable Republican donors, such as Marc Andreessen and Ben Horowitz, contributed $2.5 million each, but Musk's single-handed support to America PAC stands out in the current election cycle.
