Tesla to Unveil Robotaxi 'Cybercab' in Los Angeles on October 10

On October 10, Tesla will present its highly anticipated robotaxi, dubbed 'Cybercab,' during an event titled 'We, Robot' in Los Angeles. CEO Elon Musk has hinted at significant design changes and additional features, which contributed to the event's delay from its original date of August 8.

The event will take place at Warner Studios, where Tesla vehicles have been spotted, including one wrapped in bright yellow camouflage. Analysts from UBS caution that widespread deployment of Tesla's robotaxi is unlikely in the coming years, while Wedbush expects revolutionary autonomous technologies to be revealed.

Currently, robotaxis are already operational in several U.S. cities through competitors like Waymo and Cruise. Waymo, for instance, has over 700 robotaxis in service, offering around 100,000 paid rides weekly in cities including San Francisco and Phoenix.

Experts also anticipate announcements from Musk regarding other upcoming projects, including a low-cost electric vehicle, the Model 2, and the humanoid robot Optimus, expected to hit the market in 2026.
