A tragic incident occurred when a child was rescued from a canal by police officers in West Midlands. The child was found in critical condition and was immediately attended to by emergency services.
West Midlands Ambulance Service reported that multiple crews were dispatched, with the first ambulance arriving just three minutes after the call. Upon arrival, the child was receiving basic life support from police officers, and ambulance staff quickly took over to provide advanced life support.
Despite the rapid response and efforts from all involved, the child could not be saved and was confirmed dead at the scene.
