Russia Launches Coordinated Drone and Missile Strikes Across Ukraine, Targeting Kryvyi Rih and Mykolaiv

On October 10, 2024, Russian forces conducted a series of drone and missile strikes across multiple regions of Ukraine, including Kryvyi Rih and Mykolaiv, resulting in significant damage to civilian infrastructure and residential buildings.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported that a total of 62 attack drones, two Iskander-M ballistic missiles, three guided missiles for the S-300 air defense system, and several guided aviation missiles were launched by Russian forces. Ukrainian defenders successfully intercepted 41 drones, while an additional 14 were lost due to suspected electronic warfare countermeasures.

In Kryvyi Rih, a drone strike damaged a five-story residential building, leading to injuries and the evacuation of six people. A gas line was also ruptured, causing a fire that was later extinguished. An 82-year-old woman was hospitalized due to injuries sustained during the attack.

Simultaneously, Mykolaiv experienced a missile strike that ignited a fire at an infrastructure facility and damaged storage warehouses. The city's mayor reported that the attacks utilized Kh-59 and Kh-69 missiles.

Additionally, reports emerged of extensive Russian shelling in the Zaporizhzhia region, affecting both the city and its outskirts, with dozens of buildings damaged and at least six people injured.

This escalation of attacks highlights the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and its implications for regional stability and international relations.
