Szczecin Futsal Academy Aims for Growth with New Initiatives

Modificato da: Eugeniy Konovalov

The Szczecin Futsal Academy (SAF), established in early 2024, is dedicated to nurturing young football talent through indoor soccer. The academy recently achieved notable success by winning first place in two age categories at the Costa Blanca Cup 2024 held in Spain.

SAF is set to compete in the III league of Futsal ZZPN, with aspirations to advance to the I league within the next two years. Training sessions are conducted twice weekly, with matches scheduled at local schools. The team comprises former players from the Szczecin I-league Futsal, under the guidance of experienced coach Miłosz Kocot.

Despite currently not offering salaries for players in the III league, the academy aims to develop a sustainable financial model as it grows. The long-term vision includes integrating youth players into the senior team and establishing a women's team that will compete in the Polish Women's Cup.

SAF's men's team previously participated in the Polish Cup, finishing as runners-up after a penalty shootout against Wielim Szczecinek. The academy is optimistic about its upcoming league matches, particularly the first match against Wielim, as they seek to recover from their recent loss.
