Francis Ngannou Contemplates Future in Combat Sports After PFL Victory

Following his impressive win against Renan Ferreira at the PFL's 'Battle of the Giants' event in October, heavyweight fighter Francis Ngannou has expressed plans for his future in combat sports. Ngannou, known as 'The Predator', is considering a brief hiatus while awaiting further developments from the Professional Fighters League (PFL) regarding his next fight.

Ngannou confirmed his intentions during a conversation with TMZ Sports, stating, "I will wait a couple of months to see if the PFL pulls something up." He emphasized that he is open to both MMA and boxing opportunities, indicating that he is not rushing into any decisions. The fighter's recent success has positioned him for potentially lucrative bouts, including a rematch with boxing champion Tyson Fury.

In addition to his PFL obligations, Ngannou has received a callout from Deontay Wilder, who is interested in facing him in either MMA or boxing. Ngannou acknowledged the interest but maintained focus on his current contract. With only one fight remaining on his PFL contract, he is also eyeing a return to the UFC, although UFC CEO Dana White has previously indicated a lack of interest in negotiating with him.
