Kyiv Defends Against Multiple Drone Attacks

Kyiv faced a series of drone attacks last night, marking the fifth such assault in September. The Kyiv City State Administration reported that the drones, believed to be 'Shahed', were launched from Russia's Kursk region.

The aerial assault began after midnight and triggered air raid sirens that lasted over an hour. Ukrainian air defense successfully intercepted all enemy drones before they could reach the capital, with no reported casualties or damage in the city.

In related incidents, an attack on Kharkiv's Kyiv district resulted in a garage and nearby bushes catching fire, but there were no injuries. Additionally, four private homes were damaged in the Malodanylivska community, again without casualties.

The nighttime attack was significant, but none of the enemy drones achieved their objectives. Debris was reported to have fallen in the Pechersk district, causing a fire, but preliminary information indicates no harm to civilians.

Later reports confirmed that drone fragments landed near the Verkhovna Rada building.
