The Royal Canadian Mint has released a collector coin to mark the 50th anniversary of a significant UFO sighting near Langenburg, Saskatchewan.
On September 1, 1974, farmer Edwin Fuhr reported observing five metallic, saucer-shaped objects hovering and rotating above his field. Witnessing this unusual phenomenon, Fuhr noted that the objects emitted a strange vapor before silently ascending into the sky.
The incident left behind five distinct circular impressions in the ground, and subsequent reports indicated that the area became highly radioactive.
This coin is the seventh in the Mint's Canada's Unexplained Phenomena Series, highlighting the ongoing fascination with unexplained events in Canada.
Collectors can purchase the coin at TheMint.ca.
