The University of Granada, in collaboration with the Mediterranean Forum on Water, Energy, and Food, will host the International Congress 'The Water-Energy Nexus: Challenges for the Energy Transition' on April 8-9. This academic event will take place at the Paraninfo of the Faculty of Law of the University of Granada.
The congress will bring together experts and representatives to discuss the critical challenges of water and energy management in the context of energy transition and climate change. Key topics will include the legal framework for renewable energies, legislation concerning hydroelectric uses, the management of hydraulic works, and the environmental impacts associated with the energy use of water.
The event will feature prominent national and international experts, including Christian Pielow from the University of Bochum (Germany), José Francisco Alenza García from the Public University of Navarra, and Fabrizio Fracchia from the Università Luigi Bocconi of Milan (Italy).
Supported by Cajamar and other institutions, the congress is designed for researchers, professionals, and students with an interest in the regulation and development of sustainable energy infrastructures.
