IAEA Warns of Iran's Rapid Nuclear Resumption After Strikes

Edited by: Dmitry Drozd

Following coordinated airstrikes by the United States and Israel on Iran's nuclear facilities in June 2025, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has expressed concerns about Iran's ability to quickly resume uranium enrichment.

IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi stated that Iran could restart its nuclear activities within months, despite the attacks on key sites like Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan. He emphasized Iran's retained technological knowledge and infrastructure.

Grossi called for diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation and ensure the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program. He highlighted the need for negotiations and IAEA inspections to verify uranium stockpiles, including those enriched to 60%.
