Brad Pitt's 'F1' Movie Pushes Racing Tech to the Limit
Brad Pitt stars in 'F1', a racing movie directed by Joseph Kosinski, known for 'Top Gun: Maverick'. The film aims to deliver an authentic racing experience, focusing on the underdog story of a former F1 driver mentoring a rookie.
The film features Pitt driving modified Formula 2 cars with Formula 1 aero-packages at speeds exceeding 180 mph on real F1 tracks. Mercedes-Benz AMG F1 team collaborated to build these specialized race cars, equipped with miniaturized, remotely maneuverable high-definition cameras for capturing stunning on-car shots.
Lewis Hamilton, a co-producer, played a vital role in shaping the script and ensuring authenticity. Filming took place during actual F1 race weekends, capturing the raw energy and excitement of real racing action at locations like Silverstone, Monza, and Hungaroring.
The movie is scheduled for release on June 25, 2025, internationally, and June 27, 2025, in the United States and Canada.
