Cat Cafés Are Purr-fectly Popping Up Across Iowa!

Iowa is becoming a haven for cat lovers! New spaces dedicated to our feline friends are opening up across the state. Kitty Corner Social Club in Iowa City offers a cat lounge where you can relax with adoptable cats from the Iowa City Animal Care and Adoption Center. Enjoy free drinks and unwind with the kitties. Admission is available in increments of 15, 30, or 60 minutes. And in the Cedar Rapids area, Familiar Cat Cafe is in the works. This coffee shop concept aims to be a sanctuary for both humans and cats. It will facilitate adoptions with a local shelter and offer a separate area for cats and food/drinks. For now, Familiar Cat Cafe is selling online products from local artists. They will hold a pop-up at Raygun in Cedar Rapids on March 8.
