Reward Offered After Cats Injured in Greene County, NY

A pet advocacy group is offering a $500 reward for information about two injured cats found in Greene County, NY. Upstate NY PAWS believes the same person hurt both stray cats near Ira Vail Road. One cat had a back injury, and the other was shot in the paw. The first cat, named Scar, sadly died. The second cat's paw was shattered by metal fragments. He is now at the Pretty Paw Lounge for adoption. Hurting a companion animal can be a felony under New York's "Buster's Law." Upstate NY PAWS is holding a meeting on March 1 to discuss animal abuse laws. Anyone with information should call the Greene County Sheriff's Office at 518-943-3300.
