Revel, a medieval town founded in 1342, is known for its architectural heritage.
The town's iconic hall, originally built in 1342 and rebuilt in 1825 by architect Urbain Vitry, is currently undergoing a major restoration.
The restoration is scheduled from the end of 2024 to the beginning of 2026.
The hall, supported by 79 oak pillars and topped with a neo-classical belfry, has been a historical monument since 2006.
The Museum of Wood and Marquetry is located in the heart of the city, in the Maison du Sénéchal, one of the oldest houses in Revel, dating back to the 14th century.
