Almería Approves Cultural Enclave Near Arab Aljibes; Seville Preserves Convent Art

Edited by: Sergey Belyy1

The Provincial Heritage Commission has approved modifications to Almería's urban plan to create a cultural enclave around the Arab Aljibes and Santiago Church. The project aims to enhance the cultural and historical value of the area, integrating historical elements like Civil War shelters and the Muslim Almería wall into a public space. Meanwhile, in Seville, the Provincial Heritage Commission has denied the removal of 24 movable assets from the Santa María del Socorro convent. These include altarpieces, an organ, and bells, deemed integral to the building's history and protected status as a monument. The decision ensures the preservation of the convent's artistic heritage.
