Spain's last Gothic cathedral is set to celebrate its 500th anniversary in 2025. The cathedral stands as a testament to architectural prowess and historical significance.


Minas del Horcajo, a former mining town in Ciudad Real, is reopening to visitors. The town, once a hub for lead and silver extraction in the 19th century, features ruins of a hospital, school, and theater. Access is via a unique tunnel, adding to the site's intrigue. Visitors can explore the remains of the church of San Juan Bautista, old mining headframes, and structures like the Casa de la Luz, as well as enjoy hiking trails in the Sierra Madrona.
