Alexeï Ouminski, an orthodox priest who opposed the Kremlin's actions in Ukraine, has found refuge in Paris. He now resides at the Notre-Dame-du-Signe church in the 16th arrondissement, a church affiliated with the Patriarchate of Constantinople. Ouminski had severed ties with the Moscow Patriarchate after refusing to pray for the victory of Russia. He was subsequently removed from his position as rector of the Holy Trinity-of-Khokhli church in Moscow. After facing warnings of potential arrest, Ouminski fled Russia and eventually arrived in Paris. He maintains contact with his former parish and encourages those who oppose the war to gather in private, similar to Christians during Soviet times.
