Medieval Architecture and Gastronomy Unveiled in Spain: Exhibition Showcases Ancient Cookbook and Écija's Palaces

An exhibition in Valencia showcases Spain's oldest cookbook, 'El Llibre de Sent Soví,' written in Valencian in 1324, offering a glimpse into medieval gastronomy.

The exhibition, commemorating the book's 700th anniversary, features cooking utensils, tableware, and even food remains from the period.

In Écija, Seville, the architectural heritage is highlighted by 14 churches, including the Iglesia de Santa Cruz with Visigothic vestiges, and numerous convents dating back to the 15th century.

The town also boasts eight extraordinary palaces, many from the 18th century, showcasing Baroque architecture and contributing to Écija's historical significance.
