Birdsong Workshop Enhances Nature Connection for Visually Impaired Individuals; Spain Expects Temperature Variations

Edited by: Dmitry Drozd

A dawn chorus workshop at the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust (WWT) Slimbridge centre in Gloucestershire is helping partially sighted individuals connect with nature through identifying bird song. Participants are learning to distinguish unique bird notes, such as the goldfinch's tinkling song and the chiffchaff's onomatopoeic call, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of the natural world.

Meanwhile, in Pontevedra, Spain, the weather forecast indicates a mix of conditions. Thursday will begin with few clouds, transitioning to clear skies in the afternoon. Temperatures will range from a minimum of 12 degrees Celsius to a maximum of 24 degrees Celsius, with light northern winds. The weekend forecast predicts partly cloudy skies on Saturday with a high of 26 degrees Celsius, followed by cloudy conditions and light rain on Sunday, with temperatures between 24 and 13 degrees Celsius. Similar weather patterns are expected in nearby Vigo and Santiago de Compostela.
