Barcelona is experiencing a heatwave, with temperatures reaching almost tropical levels during the day, peaking at 28°C on Tuesday. The sky will be mostly clear with strong sunlight.
In contrast, the northern areas of Catalonia are under a yellow alert due to heavy rainfall, with up to 20 mm expected in 30 minutes, potentially accompanied by thunderstorms and hail.
Galicia is also facing significant weather changes. Temperatures reached 27°C in the early morning, with a tropical night recorded in several areas. The afternoon and evening will bring thunderstorms, especially along the Atlantic coast, with heavy showers and potential hail. Aemet has issued a yellow alert for the coast of Pontevedra and the west of A Coruña.
The approaching cold air mass will cause the instability of the atmosphere. For Wednesday, a notable drop in temperatures is expected, especially the maximum values, which will be below 25 degrees in many places. The weekend will bring a return to sunny weather.
