Archaeologists have discovered a remarkably well-preserved 2,700-year-old wooden burial chamber in Gordion, Turkey, potentially belonging to a member of the Phrygian royal family, possibly linked to the legendary King Midas.
The tomb, located in Tumulus T-26, contained 88 well-preserved metal artifacts, including large bronze cauldrons and iron-nailed vessels. Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy described the findings as significant, suggesting the buried individual was of royal status.
