Turkish Banking Sector Reports Net Profit of ₺264.2 Billion in April 2025, Total Assets Reach ₺37.3 Trillion

The Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK) of Turkey released its "Consolidated Non-Audited Main Indicators of the Turkish Banking Sector" report for April 2025, revealing a net profit of ₺264.2 billion for the sector. Total assets reached ₺37.3 trillion, marking an increase of ₺4.63 trillion since the end of 2024. Loans, the largest asset item, amounted to ₺18.39 trillion, while securities totaled ₺5.99 trillion. The non-performing loan ratio stood at 2.03%. Deposits, the largest funding source, rose by 13.9% since the end of 2024 to ₺21.53 trillion. Equity capital increased by 7.1% to ₺3.1 trillion. The capital adequacy ratio was recorded at 17.42%.
