Santander's Openbank Launches Full Operations in Mexico, Offering Fee-Free Digital Banking and Cashback Rewards

Openbank, Santander's digital banking arm, has commenced full operations across Mexico. The bank now offers a comprehensive suite of everyday banking products, including interest-bearing accounts, debit and credit cards, and cash withdrawals at 10,000 Santander ATMs. Customers can sign up in five minutes and access a fully digital platform with no fees. Openbank also provides 3% cashback on online credit card purchases and the option to defer payments interest-free for three months (minimum MXN 1,500). This launch is expected to enhance Grupo Santander's retail presence in Mexico through a secure and technologically advanced platform.
