Egypt To Launch Mental Health Centers

The Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population plans to launch 25 new mental health and addiction treatment centers by July 2025. These centers, a joint effort with the Ministry of Interior and the National Council for Mental Health, will be located in Cairo and Giza governorates. The initiative aims to combat addiction and provide mental health services, with sixteen centers in the Al-Badrashin area, Giza Governorate, and seven in the Badr area, Cairo Governorate.

The Ministry emphasizes strict adherence to legal regulations and health standards, ensuring patient safety and well-being. The ministry is committed to upholding legal and regulatory requirements to safeguard patient health and safety, and all centers will operate with the necessary licenses and in compliance with health regulations.
